Enrique Shaw

Enrique Ernesto Shaw (1921–1962) was an Argentine businessman renowned for integrating Christian principles into corporate leadership. Born on February 26, 1921, in Paris, he moved to Argentina during his childhood. After serving in the Argentine Navy, Shaw embarked on a successful business career, eventually becoming the general manager of Rigolleau Cristalerías, a prominent glassware company.

Beyond his business achievements, Shaw was deeply committed to social issues and the Catholic faith. He founded the Argentine Christian Association of Business Leaders (ACDE) in 1952, aiming to promote ethical business practices aligned with Christian values. Additionally, he was instrumental in establishing the Christian Family Movement in Argentina and served as president of Argentine Catholic Action.

Shaw's dedication to his faith and social responsibility was evident in his personal life. Married to Cecilia Bunge, he was a father to nine children. Despite facing a terminal cancer diagnosis in 1957, he continued his work, demonstrating resilience and unwavering commitment to his principles. His cause for beatification was initiated in 2004, and he was declared Venerable by the Catholic Church in 2015
